Financial help with dental work for my daughter....?

Does anyone know of any place/organization/person/etc. that provides financial assistance for dental work? My daughter needs some dental work done and our insurance will not cover the costs for the procedures. She lacks the protective coating on her baby teeth the we have when we start getting our teeth. Therefore, her teeth are decaying rapidly. It is only her top teeth. So she needs all of them to be capped. To do this she will need to be put out - completely put under because she is only 6 years old... that is where the expense comes in. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Taking out a loan is out of the question due to bad credit.

Do you qualify for Medicaid? Try to see if you do. Medicaid would become the secondary insurance. Your dentist would need to submit a treatment plan for authorization to your first insurance, then Medicaid. Then do the same with all the billings.

http://www.elegantsmilesdentis... -- you can click on Care Credit and see if there's a dentist in your area if you're not in Dallas. Report It

Reply:I would talk more with the insurance company, as it sounds like it is medically necessary.
Reply:you can get your own dental insurance.

i think I've seen it as low as 20 or so dollars a month for pretty decent coverage.... search for dental insurance policies on the web.
Reply:Talk with your dentist. They can sometimes put pressure on the insurance companies. Also, if they are going to put her under than you may want to find out if your medical insurance will cover that!
Reply:Since you have bad credit you do not have many options. Several community organizations have agreements with several dentists who will work with people who are facing the same problems that you have. They will do the work but at a reduced rate, and I am pretty sure they will require some type of payment up front. Also try the United Way. They may can assist you with your situation. With your credit being bad, when you get over this crisis you really need to work on restoring your credit. Really it would make life a lot easier.
Reply:where you live would help. than if someone knew of a dentist in your area they could help you more.
Reply:You can look into the nearest University that has an accredited Dental and Orthadontial program and provides degrees in this field of medicine. If your near California, try University of the Pacific. They exchange for free dental work and proceedures for their students.
Reply:This company gives you a discount, but no assistance. You can check out their prices and see if they help.
