Drooping lip - - is it a result of a dental procedure or a small stroke?

A friend of mine had dental surgery last week. On Saturday she woke up with the same side of her mouth drooping a bit. No other symptoms, but she does have high blood pressure.

Monday she is going to call the doctor - should i push her to call asap? It's been almost 36 hours since she first noticed it.

Maybe it's Bells Palsy?

~Just a thought.
Reply:It's usually a stroke unless the dentist did something unusually weird. Yes, she should call the doctor.... asap.
Reply:It would be wise to call the doctor. It could be that her dentist accidentally tweaked a nerve, but I believe if that was the case she would be in pain. Are there any other symptoms such as weakness in arm or leg, slurring (even slightly) of speech? If so she needs to go the the emergency room now. Good luck.
Reply:She should see a doctor and stop guessing!
