My father was numbed for a simple filling. He said that a pain shot clear up to his right eye. After that he had a blurry vision, about three hours later he lost total sight in his right eye. After being seen at the ER they stated that a blood clot had formed behind his eye. CT scan and a MRI showed no sign of stroke. Could this be related to his dental procedure???
Has anyone heard of a bloodclot forming behind the eye and loss of sight after a dental procedure?
it's a possibilty...is your dad ok? I sure hope so!
Reply:it probably is= see what can be done about it insurance wise
Reply:Sounds like it. The clot could have formed near his mouth during (and because of) the procedure and moved to his eye.
